My New Golf Goal: Stop Letting ONE Bad Hole Ruin My Entire Round 😩⛳
Hi ladies!
I’ve decided my biggest golf goal right now has absolutely nothing to do with distance, buying new clubs, or even lowering my handicap.
I want to learn how to recover mentally after a terrible hole. 😂
You know the situation…
I’m playing pretty well, feeling confident, and then suddenly I make an 8 on a par 4.
Then I spend the entire next hole thinking about it.
“Why did I use the driver?”
“Why didn’t I just take the penalty?”
“WHY DID I TRY THAT HERO SHOT THROUGH TWO TREES?!” 🤦♀️
Before I know it, one bad hole has turned into three bad holes.
So my new golf goal is simple: once I leave the green, that hole is DONE. Good score or bad score, I’m starting fresh on the next tee.
I’m also trying to improve my golf course management instead of always attempting the spectacular shot. Sometimes pitching back onto the fairway and taking my medicine is probably smarter than trying to bend a 5-iron around a tree like I’m on the LPGA Tour. 😂
I’m curious how other women golfers handle this:
How do you mentally reset after a bad golf hole?
Do you have a particular swing thought or routine that helps?
What’s your biggest golf goal right now — lower handicap, better putting, more fairways, breaking 100/90/80, or simply enjoying your rounds more?
I’d love to hear everyone’s golf goals and mental-game tips. Maybe we can steal a few good ideas from each other!
