Women’s Golf Talk: What’s the One Golf Tip That Actually Improved Your Game? ⛳🏌️‍♀️

Hi ladies, Sophia here! 💚. I thought it would be fun to start a women’s golf discussion about something every golfer seems to have an opinion on — the golf tip that actually made a difference in your game. There are thousands of golf tips for women online covering everything from the golf swing and driving distance to putting, chipping, course management, and choosing the right golf equipment. But sometimes one simple piece of advice from another golfer helps more than watching twenty golf videos. 😂 For me, one of the biggest improvements came when I stopped trying to swing my driver as hard as possible. I always assumed a faster, harder golf swing meant more distance. Instead, I usually ended up with a terrible shot somewhere in the trees. 🌳😂 Slowing down my tempo and concentrating on solid contact has made golf much more enjoyable. That’s why I love women’s golf talk with other ladies who actually play. Whether you’re a beginner golfer, trying to break 100 or 90, working on your handicap, or you’ve been golfing for years, everyone seems to discover little things that make the game easier. So let’s turn this into a big women golfers discussion: ⛳ What’s the best golf tip you’ve ever received? 🏌️‍♀️ What part of your golf game are you currently trying to improve — driver, irons, short game, putting, or golf swing technique? 💚 Do you prefer playing casual rounds with other women golfers or competitive golf? 📍 Have you met other ladies to play golf with or joined any women’s golf outings in your area? And if you’re a beginner, don’t be shy! Ask your golf questions here too. There are plenty of women golfers who remember exactly what it was like learning the game. Hopefully this can become a useful place for women’s golf tips, ladies golf advice, golf swing questions, golf goals, and general women’s golf talk. What are you working on in your golf game right now? — Sophia

My Golf Shoes Will Never Be the Same… 😂🦌⛳

Ladies… Please tell me I’m not the only one who has absolutely no luck on the golf course sometimes. 😭 I hit my drive just off the fairway, so I wandered into the rough looking for my ball. I was so focused on scanning the grass that I never looked where I was stepping. Well… Squish. I looked down and realized I’d planted my brand-new white golf shoe right into the biggest pile of deer poo I’ve ever seen. 🤢🦌 The smell hit me instantly. I tried scraping it off with a tee, then a stick, then the edge of the cart path… nothing worked. By the time I got back in the golf cart, my friends were laughing so hard they had tears running down their faces. To make matters worse, every time I walked onto a green someone would dramatically sniff the air and say, “Do you ladies smell something?” 😂 Needless to say, those golf shoes got a very thorough cleaning when I got home. So now I have to ask… - What’s the grossest thing you’ve ever stepped in while looking for a golf ball? - Any wildlife encounters or funny moments on the golf course that still make you laugh? Please make me feel better… I can’t possibly be the only one who’s been attacked by nature during a round! 💚⛳ Sophia 🌸🐾

Women’s Golf Goals: What Actually Lowered Your Scores? ⛳️💚

Hi ladies, I’ve been thinking a lot about my golf goals lately, and instead of just saying “lower my score” or “break 90,” I’m trying to figure out what actually moves the needle. So I started tracking a few things during my rounds, and it’s been eye-opening: * How many penalty shots I take * Number of 3-putts per round * Missed short putts (inside 6 feet 😬) Turns out, my scores weren’t about hitting longer drives — it was all the little mistakes adding up. So my new women’s golf goals look like this: • Zero penalty shots per round • No more than one 3-putt • Commit to every shot (no second-guessing) It already feels more realistic and way less overwhelming than chasing a number. I love having these kinds of women’s golf talk discussions because everyone’s approach is different, and sometimes one small tip can completely change your game. 👉 What specific golf goals actually helped you lower your scores? 👉 Did you focus more on short game, course management, or swing technique? 👉 Any “aha” moment that made a big difference? Would love to hear what’s worked for you — trying to play smarter, not just harder this season! 💖⛳️

Reply in: Why Do Men Take Golf SO Seriously? Ladies, I Think We Have This Figured Out 😂

I find us ladies like to just have a good time. We are less concerned with the competition part of it and see it for what it is - A fun time out with our friends

Reply in: Hi Ladies, I’m Rocquel – Looking for Swing Tips and Excited to Try Plan A Round! ⛳️💚

Hey Rocquel! So glad you’re here — and honestly, everything you said is exactly what most of us go through. That “I’ve got it… wait, no I don’t” phase is basically a rite of passage in golf 😅 When it comes to iron consistency, here are a couple things that really helped me: 👉 1. Tempo over power Once I stopped trying to “hit” the ball and focused on a smooth, controlled swing, everything started to tighten up. Think easy and repeatable, not hard and perfect. 👉 2. Ball-first contact mindset This was huge for me. Just focusing on hitting the ball then the ground (instead of scooping) made my strikes way more consistent. 👉 3. Keep one simple swing thought Instead of thinking about 10 things, I stick to just one (like “smooth takeaway” or “finish balanced”). It keeps everything from getting overwhelming. ⸻ Biggest game-changer for me? Honestly… practice with purpose. Not just hitting balls, but picking a target, going through a routine, and treating each shot like it matters. That’s when things really started to click. ⸻ And you’re going to LOVE the Plan A Round feature 🙌 It’s honestly one of the easiest ways to actually get out and play more. I’ve met some amazing women through it, and it takes all the awkwardness out of organizing a round. You’re definitely in the right place — everyone here is super supportive, and you’ll pick things up faster than you think. Can’t wait to see you out on a round soon!

Reply in: Hey Ladies, I’m allMocha – New Here and Ready to Start My Golf Journey ⛳️☕️

Hey allMocha, welcome! 💚⛳️ I love your attitude already — that’s honestly the best way to start in golf. And trust me, we’ve all been there at the driving range wondering if the ball has a personal issue with us 😅 If I could give one piece of beginner advice, it would be: don’t rush it. Focus on making clean contact and enjoying the process instead of trying to hit it far right away. Distance comes later. Also, don’t skip the short game — chipping and putting will save you so many strokes early on. This is a great place for women’s golf talk, so you’re definitely in the right spot to ask questions and learn as you go. Everyone here is super supportive. And when you feel ready, definitely try joining a women’s golf outing — it’s way less intimidating than it sounds, and honestly the most fun part of golf. You’ve got this! Keep us posted on your progress 💖
