Most Embarrassing Women’s Golf Moment… I Wanted the Cart to Swallow Me 😳
Okay ladies, I’m still cringing just thinking about this one… I was playing a round with a group I didn’t really know (you know — polite smiles, trying to look like you have your life together). On the first tee, everyone’s watching, starter standing right there. No pressure. I take my swing… and completely miss the ball. Like, not even a graze. Just air. Silence. Trying to recover with some dignity, I re-tee, swing again — and this time I top it so badly the ball dribbles forward about six feet. The starter kindly says, “Take another one if you want.” I wanted to disappear into the fairway. 😭 By the third swing I finally made contact, and of course that’s when someone says, “Nice shot!” Please tell me I’m not alone… What’s your most embarrassing women’s golf moment? Ever had a total meltdown on the first tee? Any stories that still make you blush when you think about them? Let’s hear them — if we can laugh it off together, it makes the game so much more fun. 💚

Are Rangefinders Worth It? My Experience After 3 Rounds
Hey ladies, I’ve been on the fence for a while about getting a golf rangefinder. I usually just go by the yardage markers on the course or my GPS watch, but I kept hearing how a laser rangefinder can really help with club selection. Last month I picked up the Bushnell Tour V6 Shift during a sale, and after three rounds, here’s my take: What I Love: • Accuracy – It gives me exact yardage to the pin, not just the front/middle/back like my GPS. • Slope feature – Great for figuring out uphill and downhill shots (I turn it off for league play since it’s not allowed in competitions). • Quick lock-on – Picks up the flag fast, even if there’s background clutter. What I’m Not Sure About: • I still forget to use it sometimes because I’m in “old habits” mode. • A bit bulky in the cart pocket. • Pricey compared to some budget brands. Overall, I’ve noticed I’m hitting more greens in regulation because I’m choosing the right club more often. For me, it was worth the investment — but I’m curious if anyone here has tried a cheaper rangefinder like the Precision Pro NX10 or TecTecTec KLYR? What do you all use for yardages — GPS watch, phone app, or laser?

When Your Golf Ball Has a Sense of Humor…
Okay, I have to share this because it still makes me laugh. Last weekend I was playing with a couple of friends, and we got to a short par-4 with water down the right. I teed up, told myself “Just aim left, easy swing, no drama.” Of course, my ball immediately decided it was auditioning for the PGA Splash Tour and went straight into the pond… with the loudest “plop” I’ve ever heard. But here’s the kicker — as we’re laughing about it, a big white egret that had been standing in the shallows just strutted over, looked at the ball, and then looked at me like, “Nice shot, champ.” 🤦♀️ I swear the bird was mocking me. Golf humbles you, but at least it gives you a good laugh. Anyone else have a funny golf moment recently? Wrong fairway adventures? Lost balls in crazy places? Let’s hear your stories — the sillier the better! — “SliceQueen”

2025 Golf Goals – Let’s Keep Each Other Accountable!
Hi everyone, We’re already well into the season, and I thought it would be fun to start a “golf goals” thread so we can keep each other motivated. There’s something about writing your goals down (and having other golfers cheer you on) that really helps keep you on track. Here are mine for 2025: 1. Break 85 – My current best is 88, so shaving off a few strokes will take some focus. 2. Lower my putts per round – I average around 36 right now, but I’m aiming for under 32. 3. Play at least 10 new courses – Hoping to include a mix of local Florida gems and maybe a trip to Pinehurst. 4. Add 10 yards to my 7-iron – I’m working on strength training and better contact. 5. Join a ladies’ league – I’ve mostly played casual rounds, but I want to experience competitive yet friendly matches. How about you? Whether it’s breaking 100, fixing a slice, or finally getting that first birdie, I’d love to hear your goals and check in on them throughout the year. Maybe we can do a mid-season update in July and see how everyone’s progressing. Here’s to fairways, greens, and a lot of fun this season! 🏌️♀️⛳
