Why Do Men Take Golf SO Seriously? Ladies, I Think We Have This Figured Out 😂

Ladies, have you ever noticed how differently men and women sometimes approach golf? I played near a group of men recently and you would have thought they were competing for the Masters. 😂 One bad drive and the club gets slammed back into the bag. Miss a four-foot putt? Complete silence. Someone talks during the backswing? Apparently an international incident has occurred. 🤣 Meanwhile, the ladies I’m playing with are laughing, talking, taking pictures, complimenting each other’s outfits and somehow still managing to play golf. Don’t get me wrong — women golfers can be extremely competitive too. I absolutely want to beat you. 😂 But I feel like we’re often better at remembering that we’re also supposed to be having FUN. If I make a birdie, I’m celebrating. If I make a triple bogey, I’m probably laughing about it by the next tee. And if my friend hits her best drive of the day, I’m cheering for her even if she’s about to beat me! Maybe that’s one of the best things about women’s golf — you can compete, work on your golf game, chase your golf goals AND still enjoy the people you’re playing with. So ladies, what do you think? 🏌️‍♀️ Are women better at actually enjoying a round of golf? 🏌️‍♂️ Do the men you play with take golf way too seriously? 😂 And what’s the funniest meltdown you’ve ever witnessed after a bad golf shot? Let’s hear it. This could get interesting!

The Driver Upgrade I Wish I Made Sooner

Hi People, Brianna here! I finally upgraded my driver after playing with the same one for almost six years… and I honestly can’t believe I waited this long. I switched to a newer lightweight women’s golf driver with a higher loft (12°), and the difference in launch and forgiveness is huge. My old driver felt heavy and stiff, and I didn’t realize how much it was affecting my swing speed and consistency. After getting fitted (which I highly recommend for women golfers!), I noticed: • Higher ball flight • Straighter drives • More carry distance • Less strain trying to “muscle” the ball I used to think equipment didn’t matter that much, but proper golf club fitting for women really does make a difference — especially with shaft flex and weight. Now I’m curious: When was the last time you upgraded your golf clubs? Have you ever done a professional club fitting? Any women’s golf equipment you absolutely swear by? Gear and equipment can feel overwhelming, but finding the right setup honestly boosted my confidence on the tee box. Would love to hear what everyone is currently playing! — Brianna 💖⛳️

Reply in: Ladies, What Golf Equipment Actually Made a Difference to Your Game? 🏌️‍♀️⛳

Hi Jessica! I completely understand what you mean—there are so many golf products marketed as “game changers” that it’s hard to know what’s actually worth the money. 😂 For me, getting properly fitted for a driver made the biggest difference. I ended up with a PING G430 Max with a lighter shaft, and the combination of better launch, forgiveness, and confidence off the tee has helped me more than simply buying the newest club off the rack. I also switched to more forgiving irons, which made mishits much less punishing. I’ve found that women’s clubs can be a great option, but the most important thing is really the shaft weight, flex, length, and lie angle—not just whether the label says “women’s.” A fitting helped me find what suited my swing instead of relying on general recommendations. I also use a GPS watch for course management, and it has definitely helped me choose smarter targets and avoid blindly going for shots I probably shouldn’t attempt. As for golf balls, I like the Titleist Pro V1, but I usually play a less expensive ball during casual rounds because I’m not consistent enough to notice a huge difference every time. 😂 The biggest waste of money for me was buying a fancy training aid that I used twice before it disappeared into the back of my closet. My best purchase has definitely been the fitting and clubs that actually match my swing. I’d love to hear what everyone else has found useful too—especially when it comes to wedges and putters!
