Reply in: Do golf shoes actually make a difference?
YES. Huge difference for me. I used to slip slightly during my swing and didn’t even realize it until I switched to golf shoes.

Reply in: Best golf gear for beginners (ladies) — what do I actually need?
For me it was 100% the shoes. I didn’t realize how much slipping affected my swing until I got proper golf shoes. Also I switched to softer golf balls and it helped my distance a bit. I found them by going to https://www.ladygolfersforum.com/golf-gear-guide

Hi Melissa! 💖⛳️ Welcome!! I absolutely love seeing beginners join — you’re starting such a fun (and slightly addictive 😄) journey. First thing I’ll say… don’t worry about being “good” right now. Everyone starts exactly where you are, and honestly, those early learning days can be some of the most fun. A couple things that helped me when I was starting out: 👉 Keep it simple Don’t try to learn everything at once. Just focus on making clean contact and getting comfortable with the feel of the swing. 👉 Short game is your best friend Practicing putting and chipping early on makes a huge difference and builds confidence really fast. 👉 Be patient with yourself You’ll have great shots and then some that make no sense at all — totally normal! Progress in golf isn’t linear. ⸻ And definitely try out the Plan A Round feature when you feel ready 🙌 It’s such a great way to meet other women and play in a relaxed, supportive environment — no pressure at all. You picked the perfect place to start learning. Can’t wait to see you out on the course soon! 💕⛳️ — Amelia
